2023 Week 24: WE HAVE BUNNYFRiENDS
I forgot to upload photos of our 3 guest bunnies so, although 2 of them have checked out and gone home, here they are! Kuro, Hoshi, and Mocha.
It's been a busy sort of week. I'm working 3 days instead of the usual 2, which I realise is not a great idea.
Mon: yoga, meet Joel
Tue: Beauty World / Salvation Army / Hillview, yoga
Wed: work
Thu: lunch with family, air con cleaning, meet Van
Fri: work
Sat: haircuts, sleep, read, yoga
Sun: work
Life in Singapore is rather overwhelming. Not sure if it's because of the culture here or just that I'm "returning to reality". I keep catching myself thinking about Ways to Optimise. Should I try and make more money? Am I spending too much? Should I do A or B? Cost-benefit analysis. Why is the house dusty again? How can I reduce my workload at home? Check my email, realise I have to do C and D, and my to-do list gets longer. Ugh.
Okay, it's not all that bad. I went for yoga 3 times this week and somehow squeezed in 3 friends/family hangouts. Today (Saturday) my body caught up with me and I spent all day napping and reading The Amateur Emigrant. I did only one Thing today: yoga.
Some little ways I have changed a little from our UK trip...
I am friendlier to people at the bookstore and more banter-y. So far I think people like it! Although not everyone responds. Some people just don't want any social interaction I guess.
I've been spending a lot less money than I used to. Partly this is because I am not very food-motivated these days. I have lower requirements for my meals and am happy with anything edible and cheap.
I take cold showers now.
Jon and I wake up at 8am every day now.
Let me think about this some more and maybe I'll add to the list.
