A few new things for the HAUS

The arrival of the bunnies triggered a small flurry of reorganising activity and acquiring a few new things for the house. This must be what it's like for new parents. (Except that human baby furniture and gear is much uglier...)

To begin with, we decided to set them up in the living room right in front of our armchairs, for daily viewing pleasure (especially during fruits o'clock):

In the living room I made myself a little writing corner out of a bookshelf. (It's a standing desk)

We needed to get the cat food off the floor out of Panda's reach. Solution: free Ikea kids' table via Carousell.

Over to the kitchen. To make room for bunnies I transplanted the big writing desk and now I have a convenient place to store bananas, my vinegar collection, and my laptop (strange bedfellows).

We also bought this modular steel dish drainer from Ikea to replace the broken one I got from Olio...

On to our bedroom. Jon rearranged his computer table set up. He is very happy with his new swivel chair, acquired for free from a neighbour. It had a broken wheel and use stains but, after our tender ministrations, is now good as "gently used"

Finally, the spare rooms a.k.a. Odd Shapes. I moved the sofa over to the Little Odd Shape (the books/cat potty room) and Jon put up my posters after, like, 4 years of them languishing in the corner.

The Big Odd Shape (yoga/laundry room) also got a makeover! Jon put up all his Lucifer comics and it's bootiful.

I should add that the bunnies, being free-roam, require at least 3 or 4 litterboxes around the house. Despite supposedly being litter-trained, they enjoy peeing in several corners. Including right under Meow Meow's litterbox. (Is nothing sacred!?)

I acquired a bunch of Toyogo trays for said purpose, making use of the free Click & Collect service at their Toa Payoh warehouse.

So in addition to their normal litterbox, they now have several toilets around the house for convenience.
